In 1788, The Times became the first newspaper in the world to use the name “Times”. The name was chosen to reflect that this British newspaper would focus on reporting happenings in the current era.
Warwick Times is a nod to The Times and my alma mater University of Warwick. Most importantly, it is a dedication to all the amazing people I have met through Warwick as a student, an alumna, a staff. It has been an incredible journey of over 30 years that has brought me many lifelong friendships and cherished memories. I am most grateful to have been entrusted by fellow alumni to elect me to serve Warwick Graduates’ Association Hong Kong (WGAHK) since its incorporation in 1994, and for the University to appoint me to establish the Warwick Hong Kong Office (WHKO) in 2003.
Warwick Times is an online platform that I hope will endure time and will continue to connect Warwick alumni from Hong Kong beyond years, locations and backgrounds. I also envision Warwick Times to make a social impact especially in the area of youth development drawn on the resources & expertise of Warwick alumni.
Warwick Times will remain a crazy idea in my head without 3 endearing Warwick friends to help make it visible: Eileen Tsang (logo design), Franco Lee (website development) and Clement Chan (project coordination).
I invite your SUPPORT to make this project take off. Please subscribe to our newsletter and to follow the Warwick Times social media accounts: FB, IG, YT.
Smile & stay in touch,
